“I will help you!!” this is something that is heard every now and then from my boys. It is music to my ears. I love that they want to help. Of course as they have gotten older the fun has lessened a little with the helping bit and they need a prompt every now and then…lol.

Laughter…it has to be the best sound in the world, especially when it comes from your own kids. I can always pick which one of my boys is laughing as they all sound different…..well to me.

They love doing silly things to make each other laugh. usually it is a silly sound or funny dance. They each have a different sense of humor though. Ryan is very dry, Liam loves the rediculous like Dr Seuss. He has just discovered Tom and Jerry on foxtel and all the boys were watching and Liam was the only one laughing…or should I say cackling. Conor he will be a stand up comedian I think…very much into slapstick….lol. Tynan well he will laugh at pretty much anything right now.

It is the one sound that when I hear, I take a deep breath and I know that everything is good. I hope they never stop!!!

Tynan and Jackson…otherwise known as tweedledum and tweedledee. These boys are two peas in a pod that you can’t let out of your sight.

They are both cheeky, inquisitive and delightful. On the odd occasion they have gone out of our sight they have drawn all over my tele, coffee table, window sill, books and the magna doodle… oh and themselves…lol.

Then there was the incident of the tiny teddies…. they were on the table and they wanted them so Jackson climbed on the chair and would pass them down to Tynan to eat…lol.

They LOVE each other and like Conor and Sam it is an endless song of ” I see Jackson” good thing Sam and Jackson are brothers cause we kill two birds with one stone when we get together.

This is a friendship, whilst yes they are young, that will last forever.

WE ARE ONE…BUT WE ARE MANY…

I feel so lucky to be living in Australia. We have so many wonderful people from all walks of life here.

My one wish for my boys is that they grow up not feeling like they deserve to live like we do, but appreciate the fact that they are lucky to live like we do.

There are so many people in the world who can only dream to have the freedom that we have. I hope that they can one day be as lucky as we are.

Happy Australia Day.

Sammy - Conors best friend - they have known each other all their 4 short years of life. In fact it is Sam’s birthday today which is why I chose to do this photo. You couldn’t get two kids who are more opposite than these two and yet they love each other. I also have the honour of being Sam’s godmother.

Conor asks multiple times a day if he can see Sammy? or can we go to Sammy’s house? Conor is loud Sam is quiet, Conor is full on Sam is reserved. They do balance each other very well. They are both starting school this year, though at different ones, so Bec and I will have to make sure they still get to play with each other. That way they can share all those important experiences that will happen to them when they are at school.

Happy Birthday Sammy

Food - It has always been a battle in our house. The boys are not open to trying new things. Though I have noticed as they have grown older they are a bit more open to the idea. So as I was ransacking my bookshelf looking for a cupcake recipe for yesterday I found a recipe book I had forgotten about that was filled with what I thought was very yummy food.

I found a recipe for rice paper rolls. Now Ryan loves tuna sushie and Liam loves spring rolls so when I saw these I thought they might be a great compromise. So this morning I made a deal with them……if they tried these for lunch they could have maccas for dinner…lol. Bribery and corruption is a wonderful thing!!!!!!

Well it worked. Ryan had two with chicken, rice noodle and carrot. Liam had a jolly good go at one with ham, rice noodle and carrot. Conor even had a bite of one. I was so impressed with them. They had tried something new and it was moderately successful. BTW Fiona(my neighbour) Caitlin and I LOVED them.

I wonder if they will ever eat them again……………

I am no Martha Stewart and I am the first to admit it…lol. But every now and then I get the urge to bake something. Today happened to be one of those days.

In that is it school holidays the boys have eaten me out of everything…so much so I actually thought I had missed the supermarket day because we had nothing left. We did have enough to make some cupcakes for the boys, well almost. I had to borrow some castor sugar and vanilla essence off my neighbour (thanks Fiona).

Most kids love cupcakes and cakes biscuits etc, except Liam. He dosen’t like sweet things. Would rather have some rice crackers or Jatz biscuits. He dosen’t get upset that the boys are having cupcakes he just politely says when offered ” No thanks mum.”

So when I do get the urge to bake I make sure there are always tiny teddies or somethign around just so he gets to have something too.

I will say he has never said no to a chocolate frog though…lol.

This was not the photo I was planning for today but it is so Tynan right now. He is teething getting his 2yo molars. None of my boys teethed very well. It caused alot of pain for them and Tynan is no different.

He can often be found just sitting chewing on the inside of his mouth which is what he is doing here. He is not sleeping well either and the hot weather dosen’t help.

I hope they come through soon so that he can be pain free and I can get some sleep…lol.

This really shows that my boys are growing up. Tynan is the last and he will (hopefully) soon be out of nappies. Even though it is a great milestone for them and we are so happy when they finally get it, it just means that there is just a little bit more of babydom gone.

I am truly excited to see what the future holds for us now that the boys are getting older. The light at the end of the tunnel is certaily shining right now.

I will mourn the loss of my babies and celebrate the freedom of my big boys.
