introducing Holly and Hannah [canberra newborn photographer]

Friday, February 27th, 2009

I got to spend the morning with two of the littest most gorgeous girls today. At 17 days they were older than I like, to be able to get the beautiful curled up poses, but after many cuddles and some milk they finally drifted off into a lovely deep sleep. I can’t tell you how much these little girls tugged at my heart. They had just reached 3kgs, so still tiny.

Sharon and Sean thank you so much for letting me photograph your little girls and your big boy. I hope they had a lovely big sleep after I left.

Bits and pieces

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

Hi everyone,

Well I am rested after my break and looking forward to meeting many new beautiful babies this year. My boys have settled into school and the business is open again. There have been a few changes this year firstly with the main bulk of my work being dedicated to newborns and babies. That said I will still be doing family and child sessions but will have only a few sessions each month open for this, so if this is what you are after you will need to contact me soon before the spots  fill up.

Secondly I have decided to change my pricing structure around a bit and I am now offering packages aswell as a-la-carte pricing. Please go to my website to see the new pricing www.nataliebicephotography.com .

Model search

I am after a few newborns to try out some ideas I have. So if you have a baby due in Feb/March and would like to have a free session please contact me through the website with “model search” in the title. I have 4 spots available. I also need some mums and dad that would be willing to do some photos with their new bub aswell. I will need Dad to be willing to go shirtless and Mum willing to have bare shoulders for these photos.

The session is aimed totally at getting one particular shot and if after I have got the shot and bub is still willing I will do a few more shots if time permits. As a thank you I will offer you a 12×18in print of the photo. If you want you can then purchase copies of the photo at my regular pricing less 10%. You will need to sign a model release for me to  be able to use the photo in my advertising and on my website.

The devastating bushfires in Victoria.

As we all know Victoria has been absolutely devastated by bushfires with over 180 people perished and over 750 homes are gone. I don’t think there would be anyone in Australia that hasn’t been affected. I for one had a dear friend living in Drouin who had to evacuate with her 5 children one of them a new 4 week old baby. She was one of the lucky ones who had a home to come back  to.

A fabulous photographer friend of mine Kris Leigh has inspired many of us to donate the session fee from sessions booked in Feb to the red cross bushfire appeal. As I no longer have a session fee I have decided that of the holding fee I charge $100 will be donated. To do this contact me in Feb to book your session then make your way over to the Australian Red Cross and donate your $100 via their secure donations page and then send me a copy of your electronic reciept. As an added thankyou you will recieve 15% off your order.  Sessions will need to be held in Feb or March. If you want any more info on this please contact me.

If you are not in Canberra and want to help, Kris is compiling a list of photographers who are doing the same, hopefully there will be a photographer in your area.

Please take care and hold your family a little tighter tonight. Our prayers and thoughts are with everyone in Victoria right now.
