Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend the morning with two gorgeous little bubs. At 6 weeks old they are older than the other bubs I usually photograph in the gorgeous curly poses but with a little encouragement they played beautifully. Cherelle and Chris are so cool and calm and having only moved into thier new house last week are handling the new bubs like pros. I moved house 7 months ago and I still have boxes around the place……lol.

Cherelle and Chris you have two beautiful babies and they are so lucky to have you both as their parents, you are doing a fabulous job. It is a big peek as I had so much trouble choosing only a few.

day twenty six

Australia Day 2010. This year we decided to have a quiet one. We packed a picnic and headed to the lake for a play. The boys had a ball playing in the water and biulding sand castles. I have so many great fun photos from today but this one I couldn’t go past it as my official photo. I will include more photos when I print my book.

We are lucky to be living where we are and I hope that our children grow up appreciating this fact. Especially seeing what has been happening in the world lately. We are lucky and they are lucky….the world is thier oyster and I hope they cherish it.

One thing that boys have always LOVED doing is painting with water. In that there is not much more you can do with water these days this at least lets them have fun, though it usually ends up been tipped over someone.

day-twenty-one1

Tennis…we love tennis….well me, my mum and dad and Liam do anyway. 12 months ago Liam started tennis lessons after a not so good try at team sport. He LOVES it and is actually very good at it.

These holidays he has done a tennis camp at the same tennis club that me and my brother learnt. It hasn’t changed in the 25yrs in between…lol.

He watches the Australian open and proudly declares that he will be a champion when he grows up. I think he will be a bit more like John McEnroe than Pat Cash though…..lol.

1-2-3-4 I declare a thumb war….anything that involves competition and my boys are there…this is one of the latest games. It usually ends in tears because the bigger one has beaten the little one. That said the little one usually tries to use their other hand to help, so now thay have to sit on the other hand…..lol.

Kicking back with Caitlin on a hot Saturday evening………gotta love Zooper Doopers.

They boys were given this basketball  hoop for Christmas from their Aunty Bronwen. When I booted them outside tonight this is where I found Ryan and Conor. Both are quite good at it too.

I took the boys to see their Dad at Cancon, which is a games convention held each year. This year they had a families area set up. It was full of family friendly boardgames, a huge chess set and laser tag. The boys had a go at everything.

One game they found was this marble run thing, all the bit join together and you run marbles though it. The  boys loved it so we bought some for them. We have now discovered that the cats like it too.

OK so I am behind on blogging my photos from the Jan challenge. I willput as many in this post as I can but it may take a few to get up to date…lol.

day-sixteen

yup you read the time right…it is nearly one in the morning and Tynan is up. He fell asleep in his room at about 5pm due to having a late night the other night. He woke at 10pm when I went to check on him and I was hoping he would go back to sleep but alas he is awake and bright as a button. I hope he feels sleepy soon but I am not counting on it.

In the last few months the boys have taken an interest in helping me cook dinner. So tonight when I started getting things ready Liam piped up that he wanted to help. His favourite thing is to peel the carrots and then cut them and the snow peas…….green chicken curry YUM!!!

Haircut day….for the first time I took all the boys to get their hair cut at the same time. Usually I take Ryan and Conor and my friend Bec does Tynan’s.

Now Liam I cut his because he is or should I say was terrified…well he used to be. He convinced himself it hurts and nothing we could do or say would change his mind. This was actually his first real haircut in 4 years and his first time at a hairdressing salon. He did so well…..I am so proud of him.

Now they are all ready for school, well all except Tynan who still has another year….try telling him that though.

personal project - a photo each day in January of my boys

day-fifteen

Conor starts Kindy this year and he is very excited about being at big school with his brothers. In the post today he recieved a hand written envelope addressed to him.

Very excitedly he opened it to find the the principal of the school had written him a letter telling him how excited she is to have him starting at school in a few weeks and what will happen on his first day. Well he was so chuffed and couldn’t wait to show Daddy when he came home

personal work - taking a photo of my boys each day in January.

img_9531-1web

Each time i have the camera out Liam is bugging me to take a photo,  NOT take a photo of him, he wants my camera to take photos.

So tonight when I brought out my camera to get todays shot I decided to bring out my second camera to give to Liam to use. So even though this shot is kind of set up, it is still candid as this is what he wanted to do and he loved having my 40D.

Of course Conor ever the performer was happy to pose for Liam.

please excuse my processing I am on the laptop as my hard drive died this afternoon.

day-thirteen1

Today we went ten pin bowling and I was all set to use some of those photos I took when I saw this photo.

Brendan went back to work this week and the boys have been asking each day where he is and when he will be home. At bowling today Liam lamented ” I wish daddy was here”. He is really missing him.

Well I was walking past the loungeroom windows which lead out to our front porch when I saw two boys sitting outside. I went out to see what they were doing and Liam piped up “waiting for daddy”. So how could I not photograph this for today.

day-eleven

Lucy, Sam and Jackson are the boys oldest friends. They have known each other pretty much their whole lives. They came over for a play this morning and ended up staying for lunch aswell. They played so well with each other it is so lovely to see. They will be life long friends…well they have to be because their mum Bec is my bestest friend. We will be old and toothless sitting in our rocking chairs whinging about  the youth of today when we are 90….lol.

Personal work a photo of my boys each day in January. Completely natural and unposed.

I know I am very behind on blogging my photos so here is one big catchup for the last 6 days.

day five

day-five1

Waiting for Nonnie and Papa. Conor is going on his first plane trip with Nonnie and his first trip away without Mummy or Daddy. He is so excited to go on the plane and then see Uncle Anthony and Aunty Sarah’s new pink house. Not only that he will also get to see his cousin baby Ella who he LOVES. Such a big moment for such a little boy….but he is so ready. Look out world….Conor is coming.

day six

day-six1

with all the other boys gone…he has complete control over the television and the toys in the rumpus room. He can do and watch whatever HE wants…..I think he is quite enjoying it.
day seven
day-seven1
The cats are a part of the family so I figured they can be a part of the photo challenge aswell. Especially when I spotted Newton playing in the library this evening.

They are just the coolest cats. They can do this really clever thing where they sit on their back feet on the floor and hold things with their front paws. That is what I tried to get Newton doing but each time he did it he was facing the wrong way…lol.

day eight
day-eight1
the library….when I looked through the new house there were two things that grabbed me straight away.
One was this room. As soon as I saw it I envisigned it as a library. So the first thing we did when we moved in was to put up floor to ceiling bookshelves on one wall. Brendan and I are avid readers, though I don’t get much time these days. We are hoping that the boys will come to love reading as much as we do.
The other thing was the view straight across to the Brindabellas….<3
day nine

lego is the best invention.

day ten

day-ten1

Each morning for the last two years Ryan has made breakfast for the boys and himself. It used to be only cereal, but now he has branched out into making toast and cups of tea.

Yup he brings me a cuppa in bed.

This is our seriously dodgy kitchen…the plans for new one are sitting on my desk and hopefully going to our kitchen man during the week.

So there we go all caught up now….hopefully I won’t get behind again.

( not sure what is going on with the formatting I have tried many times to fix it but no luck. At least all the photos are there this time.)
